Physical Therapy Protocols
Physical Therapy

Physical therapists and the care they provide is an essential aspect of our patient’s success. Before surgery, we frequently employ therapists to assist with improving range of motion, strengthening, and teaching of post-operative protocols. After surgery, therapists empowers our patients to regain their independence and streamline their recovery.
On the day of surgery, you will go home with a post-operative folder from Dr. Marigi’s team. This folder will include a physical therapy order as well as a physical therapy protocol unique to the procedure that you completed. Please bring these documents with you to your initial post-operative physical therapy visit, so that your therapist can provide you with the specific care intended for your procedure.
Of note, we understand that therapists at times see our patients multiple times per month and as such we consider them as a direct extension of our team. Therefore, your physical therapists may work with you to create a more individualized rehabilitation program based upon our guidance that is specific to your stage in recovery. For reference, below are our institutional physical therapy and rehabilitation guidelines specific to each surgery.
